Британская академия кино и телевизионных искусств в очередной раз выбрала победителей своей ежегодной премии.
Главная награда досталась Fallout 4 от Bethesda Softworks. В этой номинации детище Bethesda Softworks обошло такие проекты, как Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture, Life is Strange, Rocket League и The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Помимо главной награды, Fallout 4 боролся за звания игры с лучшей музыкой, но здесь её опередила Everybody’s Gone to Rapture.
Рекордсменом по количеству собранных призов стала игра Rocket League, которой удалось победить сразу в трёх номинациях: «Лучшая семейная игра», «Лучший мультиплеер» и Лучшая спортивная игра. Собравшая множество лестных отзывов прессы и критиков инди-игра Her Story разработчика Сэма Барлоу получила аналогичное количество наград: «Лучший дебют», «Лучшая мобильная/портативная игра» и «Премия за игровые инновации». Почтенный титул лучшей британской игры жюри отдало приключенческому экшену Batman: Arkham Knight.
Ранее лучшими играми года по версии BAFTA были признаны Destiny (2015 год) The Last of Us (2014), Dishonored (2013), Portal 2 (2012) и Mass Effect 2 (2011).
